The Working With Children Check is for people who work directly with children, in areas of work specified as child-related work, or work in a designated role as stated in the legislation.

The Working With Children Check (WWCC) is a government issued clearance required of all Childcare workers. MyMusician requires all teachers, subcontractors and staff to have completed a WWCC.

It also helps to allay any questions around child safety and welfare that the parents have in regards to who is teaching their children.

The process of obtaining a check is a quick and painless process and you get a application number online instantly and only takes a few days to receive the completed paperwork.

Our Head of Teachers Josh will review your application and give you a quick video call within 3 days. If everything is in order, you will receive an approval notification by email. We aim to review every application within 3 business days, but this can vary at peak times.

Sometimes we need to reach out to you to confirm additional information. To ensure a faster processing time, please respond to our requests as soon as possible.

Yes! In order to keep the momentum of the lessons going (and so you keep earning money!) we teach through school holidays. Sometimes students are away on holidays, in which case you will be inform through our system that your student will be away.

If you go on holidays, please:

  • Try to schedule make up lessons with the students.
  • Please contact us through your MyMusician teachers’ portal as well as update any moved or cancelled lessons.

MyMusician pays fortnightly on Tuesdays.

Please always make sure that you have confirmed your lesson in your MyMusician Teacher Portal straight after you taught the lesson.

We can't pay you for lessons that aren't confirmed!

If you confirm lesson from a prior pay period it will be picked up in the next fortnightly pay cycle.

This means that your bank account details are not stored on our servers at all. We chose to partner with QuickBooks and Braintree by PayPal because of their focus on security and their experience processing payments for some of the largest business and websites in the world.

We understand your concerns around financial transactions on the internet, but rest assured, the only access we have to your bank account is to transfer money to you. We cannot make withdrawals from your account.

At a time when online fraud is prevalent, we know how important this is to everyone. Society has become cautious of disclosing personal details online.

Not only is this information is cross checked with your Working with Children Check to confirm that they are authentic, but we're also obligated to collect this information for risk and regulatory reasons.

As we act as a payment service we are bound by the Australian Government's anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) regulations which requires MyMusician and our payments partner Quickbooks & Braintree by PayPal, to verify the identity of people who earn money through our platform.

As you can imagine, this is serious stuff and we follow the law to a tee. As such, we can assure you that your information is protected with the highest levels of security and encryption from the moment it leaves your computer.
